OUTREACH: Pique Shows

A Pique Show is a unique program for Middle and High School students which features Corpus Christi Concert Ballet dancers in the schools. Concert Ballet company members provide a lecture/demonstration including short dance works of Jazz, Ballet, and Modern in a fast-paced 50 minute program.

The audience participates in informal talks on the choreography, music, drama, and dance training, led by the company director and dancers experienced in their field. Student ask question, examine costumes and props, and share in the dance experience.

An excellent way to "turn on" students to the magical world of theater and dance, Pique Shows help provide an understanding of the technical side of producing a ballet or a play. Pique Shows connect the interdisciplinary courses of music, art, drama, literature and dance!
